🛠️ Why replace wooden discs

Many Murano glass chandeliers, almost all those produced before 2005, especially the vintage or restored ones, use pre-drilled wooden discs into which the Murano glass components, leaves, flowers, arms and others, are inserted.:

 

 

🛠️ Why replace wooden discs?

  • Il aged wood it can lose strength and crack, compromising the support of the components of the Murano chandelier.

  • THEexposure to heat, dust and humidity over the years it damages its finish and above all its resistance.

  • Wood is not always aesthetically compatible with the colors of Murano chandeliers, making replacement necessary.

  • If you notice cracks or sagging in wooden discs.

  • When you feel oscillations or vibrations when cleaning individual pieces of Murano glass.

  • If you are moving or taking the chandelier to other rooms.

🔩 Replacement Phases

  1. Safe disassembly

    • Turn off the electricity.

    • Gently remove all the glass pieces from the chandelier that are inserted into the old wooden disc.

  2. Removing the old wooden disc

    • Unscrew the Murano glass end counterclockwise, taking care to support the base.

    • Precise measurement
