In summary, the Veneto Region, the sole exclusive owner of the "Vetro Artistico di Murano" trademark
has granted the management of this brand to the Promovetro Consortium, a group of small companies in the Murano glass sector.
This term "Murano Artistic Glass" is applied only to products created
on the island of Murano with criteria in line with the traditions of Murano glass.
Labels, QR codes and other items with the wording "GLASS" are provided.
ARTISTIC MURANO" which will be placed on the products of those
COMPANIES THAT JOIN THE INITIATIVE, and that are able to satisfy the
Requirements. Membership of the brand is voluntary and not mandatory.
The initiative is accompanied by an advertising campaign and other initiatives.
The campaign is aimed at increasing awareness and appreciation of Murano glass products.
and will be financed mainly by the Veneto region and other public authorities.
We view this initiative with a very positive assessment of the brand's design and the undoubted opportunities it offers small artisan businesses.
Fabbrica lampadari Murano is not currently adhering to the initiative because:
1. We believe we are capable of independently guaranteeing the quality and origin of our products.
2. We also believe we can and must support our brand through specific and independent marketing that is fully capable of supporting our products in Europe and the rest of the world.
